Photography credits
Every photograph on this site is a real photograph, taken by a named person, used under the Unsplash Licence. None of them is a photograph of a job we did. They are here because a page about repainting an Auckland villa should show an Auckland villa, and licensed work by a real photographer is the honest way to do that until there is work of our own to photograph.
What these photographs are
Real houses, real work, borrowed honestly
The photographs below show New Zealand houses and real trade work. They are licensed under the Unsplash Licence, which permits commercial use at no cost and without asking permission. Crediting the photographer is not required by that licence. We do it anyway, because someone did the work.
They are not photographs of our own completed jobs. No image on this site is a before and after of a project we ran, and none should be read as one. As jobs are completed, this site's own photography will replace them, and this page will shrink.
Two things follow from that. Nothing here is captioned with an address or a job we did not do; where a location is known it is stated accurately, and where it is not known it is left out — the hillside street of villas, for instance, is Mount Victoria in Wellington and is never described as Auckland. And where no photo was good enough, the slot is left as a reserved plate carrying the brief for the shot, rather than filled with something that is nearly right.
